Mrs Fiona Hudson is a fully registered Psychologist working in both clinical and research capacities within the Respiratory and Sleep Department at the Queensland Children’s Hospital. She holds specialized expertise in child and adolescent psychology, with a particular focus on paediatric sleep psychology, and is skilled in developing tailored, evidence-based interventions for children and adolescents with sleep and respiratory challenges.

Ms Hudson collaborates closely with healthcare professionals and also operates a private practice within Queensland Children’s Lung and Sleep Specialists. Her research is currently focused on the MRFF-funded program Early Sleep Interventions to Improve Outcomes in Children with Neurodisability, where she contributes to the design and delivery of novel sleep interventions as part of a multi-centre randomised controlled trial—the largest of its kind in Australia. This work is expected to inform national clinical guidelines for managing non-respiratory sleep problems in children with neurodisability.

In addition to her research contributions, Ms Hudson supports the training of a PhD student and has co-supervised year 2 medical students and undergraduate psychology students through placements with the Kids Sleep Research Group.
