Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and concussion are the most common form of brain injuries. There is an increasing recognition of the significant long-term symptoms and impairments following mTBI and concussion.

A UQ-led research group is creating a national guideline to help address gaps in care that are currently encountered across Australia and New Zealand each year. The group is striving to provide easily accessible care, relevant advice about concussion management, helping healthcare professionals improve patient outcomes.

The scope of this guideline includes concussion recognition, early investigation, management of early and prolonged symptoms, and recommendations for referral to multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.

You are invited to attend the mTBI conference on Wednesday 6 September to hear from International and National experts in the field as they discuss mTBI management, CTE, PCCS interventions and our upcoming mTBI guideline.

Light refreshments will be provided.
